Shopify Launch Operations
From Concept to a Sales-Ready Store
Launching a successful ecommerce business requires more than a visually appealing Shopify store. It requires a commercially viable concept, clear positioning, sound financial foundations, and operational readiness.
Whether you are launching your first ecommerce business or taking an existing business online, our Shopify Launch Project combines ecommerce strategy, Shopify store setup and operational implementation to help you launch with confidence.
Before the project begins, we hold a Strategy Session to understand your business and determine the right scope for your launch.
The Shopify Launch Project then takes you through two core phases:
- Build
- Launch
Together, the process takes your business from initial concept through to a commercially grounded, sales-ready Shopify store.
The Strategy Session
Before We Build Your Store
Every successful launch begins with a clear understanding of the business behind it. Before we set up your Shopify store, we start with a complimentary 30-minute Strategy Session to understand your business, products, goals and vision. The Strategy Session gives us the context we need to understand where you are now, what you want to achieve and what support your launch requires.
Following the Strategy Session, you will receive a tailored proposal outlining the recommended scope of work for your Shopify Launch Project.
The Build Phase
Shopify Store Setup
We take your business from concept to a fully configured, sales-ready Shopify store. As a Shopify Partner, we handle the entire store setup process, so you don't have to.
Your Shopify store setup is tailored to your business and may include:
- Launch Strategy: Market and competitor research, brand foundation, product and pricing strategy, operations strategy, supplier evaluation guidance, and a marketing roadmap.
- Custom Storefront Setup: Shopify theme configuration aligned with your brand, navigation, collection organisation, store settings, as well as user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) best practices.
- Product & Content Setup: Upload and configuration of products, collections, SEO-informed descriptions, and website content.
- Visual Optimisation: Image preparation and layout adjustments for clarity, speed, mobile responsiveness, user experience (UX), and overall store performance.
- Search Visibility: We optimise your store and product content for visibility across traditional and AI-powered search, incorporating search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) principles. This includes metadata, product tagging, image alt text, and site structure.
- Sales Channel Integration: Meta, TikTok, Google Shopping, and other supported sales channels.
- Systems Integration: Essential apps for marketing, operations, and automation workflows.
The result is a Shopify store built around your business, with the structure, systems and foundations in place to support a successful launch.
The Launch Phase
Ready to Launch
Once your Shopify store is set up, we complete the final checks and prepare you to manage your new store with confidence.
The launch stage includes:
- Final Go-Live Review: We complete a final review of your store's configuration, functionality and customer journey, resolving any outstanding issues before launch.
- Client Handover: We walk you through your completed Shopify store and provide the guidance you need to manage its day-to-day operation.
Our support does not end when your store launches. For 30 days after launch, we will be available for questions and troubleshooting directly related to the work completed as part of your Launch Project.
The Shopify Launch Project
The Shopify Launch Project is a comprehensive end-to-end service for businesses that want more than a Shopify website. We bring together the commercial, operational and financial foundations of your ecommerce business, then handle the store setup and systems needed to bring it all together, so you do not have to figure out the moving parts on your own.
From launch strategy and Shopify setup to operational systems and integrations, your project is tailored around what your business needs to get ready for launch. The result is a connected Shopify store with the ecommerce systems required to support the business you are building.
Timeline: 2-4 weeks, depending on project scope and client readiness.
Investment: From $5,000 USD. Includes setup of up to 50 product listings. Larger catalogues are quoted based on listing volume and complexity.
One coordinated project, from the decisions behind your business to the systems behind your store, giving you a stronger foundation to launch, operate and grow.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need products before we begin?
No. You do not need to have every product ready before the project starts. Many clients begin with a product idea or an initial range rather than a finished catalogue.
During the development of your launch strategy (the first task in the Build Phase), we work through your product offering, pricing, commercial positioning and business goals where required. This gives us the clarity needed to progress through the Build Phase and complete the parts of your store that do not depend on final product assets. Once all required product information, images and other assets have been received, we can complete the remaining store setup.
2. How is my Shopify Launch Project fee determined?
The Shopify Launch Project starts from $5,000 USD. Your final fixed project fee depends on the scope and complexity of your project, including:
- Product listing volume and complexity
- Complexity of your store setup
- Required integrations and sales channels
- Store migration requirements, where applicable
Before any work begins, you will receive a proposal outlining the agreed scope, deliverables, timeline and fixed project fee.
3. How long does the Shopify Launch Project take?
Most Shopify Launch Projects are completed within 2-4 weeks. Your estimated project timeline will be confirmed in your proposal before work begins.
The exact timeline depends on the scope and complexity of your project, as well as the timely provision of required product information, images, other assets and feedback. Delays in receiving these may affect the agreed project timeline.
4. Will I own my Shopify store when the project is finished?
Yes. Your Shopify store will belong to you. We will build and configure the store on your behalf and transfer ownership to you once the project is completed and final payment is received. You will then have full ownership and administrative control.
5. Are you employees of Shopify? What does being a Shopify Partner mean?
Peare Strategy is an independent ecommerce operations consultancy and is not employed by Shopify.
As a Shopify Partner, we have access to Shopify's Partner tools and resources to support our work with Shopify Merchants. All services, advice and recommendations are provided independently by Peare Strategy.
6. Do you provide branding?
Yes. Where required, your Shopify Launch Project can include the brand foundation needed to present your business professionally at launch. This may include brand positioning, customer messaging, colour palette, typography, visual direction, website copy, and a minimalist wordmark and favicon.
We do not provide specialist creative services such as bespoke logo illustration, packaging design or comprehensive visual identity systems.
7. Can you migrate my existing store to Shopify?
Yes. If you are moving from another ecommerce platform, your Launch Project can include migration of your existing store to Shopify.
Migration requirements vary depending on your existing platform, product catalogue, store content and integrations. These requirements will be assessed during the Strategy Session and reflected in your project scope, timeline and fee.
8. What happens after my store goes live?
Your Shopify Launch Project includes 30 days post-launch support from your agreed launch date, covering questions or troubleshooting directly related to the work completed as part of your project.
As your business grows, your operational needs may change. Peare Strategy also offers Store Operations services to support future store improvements and optimisation.
